Winner of many awards in the last decade for the varietal, and this ten year old version is especially true to style and signature. Pale gold in the glass, with an exotic perfume of apricot, sweet satsuma, golden peach, yuzu and lychee. The palate is dry, with a tart acidity that offsets the plush fruit flesh. Layers of character include some pithy, apple skin phenolics, then spice and vanilla, before a waxy texture envelops the back of the palate. The finish is persistent and spicy. 92pts
