A wine from Alexandra in Central Otago – winner of a Gold Medal at the NZIWS in 2024. The colour is a clear, pale coral pink in the glass. The fragrance is wide-ranging, with floral notes of peony, crisp citrus and deeper melon, peach, cherry and strawberry fruits. A dry palate showing bright acidity highlighting the succulent and juicy fruit. A chalky minerality appears mid-palate and just a touch of apple skin tannin and phenolics add complexity. An elegant and quite ‘serious’ style that would appeal across the board. The finish has a little spice and is zesty and persistent. 92pts
