A Marlborough wine – from the Wairau Valleys. Well presented, with a classy, arty pink label. A pale copper-coral pink colour in the glass. Perfumed with summer berries – red and lush, and just a hint of red liquorice and toasted spice. Not quite dry – it probably is… but that juicy fruit tricks you into a feeling of unctuous succulence. Heightened by a zesty acidity, there is a direct flow and length to the palate. Mouth-filling and creamy – a texture of greek yoghurt and a hint of phenolic tannin, adding a toothsome edge to the elegant finish. A rosé with character – this will have its fans. 92pts
