A single vineyard wine from this excellent Marlborough label. I’ve reviewed most of their wines before (including the 2018 vintage of this), and interviewed local legend Brian Bicknell – https://winefolio.co.nz/?p=3717
A translucent pale green colour in the glass. A light struck-match, flinty reductiveness on the nose, above grapefruit, white peach, apple and cashew nut on the nose. Medium-bodied, turning richer into the palate, opening up and showing melon and tropical fruits, and a generous complexity. A tart, linear acidity bristles through, adding focus and length, whilst a silky, fine texture swaddles the back of the palate. The finish is piquant and persistent. 93pts
