SOHO Revolver 2019

A red blend from Waiheke – featuring Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Deep, dark ruby coloured in the glass, with lively aromas of red plum, cranberry, cassis, wood smoke, date, cassia bark and lilac on the nose. Exhuberant, fresh on the palate with riper flavours of boysenberry, sumac and graphite in layers over the grippy, svelte tannins. Medium acidity and a nice frame of toasty oak gives a fine backbone and, although young, the wine has a good balance, structure and verve. The finish is persistant and satisfying. 93pts.
