Elegant and effusive on the nose, with red cherry, plum, boysenberry, peppercorn, spice and herb adding seasoning. There is a restrained, lacy, lightness of touch at play from the nose into the palate. Things expand on the medium-bodied palate, where a savoury edge of stony minerality adds depth. A bright pulse of acidity gives great directness and line, highlighting the plush fruit. Tannin is fine and chalky. It is drinking very well now, on release, but has a great future ahead. 95pts
