Made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes, grown on the Estate vineyard in Central Otago – winner of a Gold Medal at the recent NZIWS competition. Quite a pale coppery pink in the glass. An elegant and breezy aroma, with notes of jasmine, raspberry, candy apple, red cherry and blueberry muffin. Punchy, with generous acidity and a complex, layered palate. Those crunchy succulent fruit flavours are underlined with a quartzy minerality and warming middle-eastern spices. I’m a believer in Rosé not being too complicated, and this is an easy choice for the summer table – a very bright, juicy, food-friendly wine. It gets drier towards the long finish. 92pts
