From the Eradus ‘Breloft Vineyard’ on the banks of the Awatere River in Marlborough – the wine named after the owner’s daughter Ana-Sophie. A very light lemon-green in the glass, with effusive aromatics of grapefruit, blackcurrant, sorrel, passionfruit, dried pineapple and tomato leaf. The generous fruit shines on the palate, juicy and bright – complemented by a soft acid freshness. There is both delicacy and depth here – a subtle elegance under that powerful perfume. The finish has a drying minerality to it, and a seductive persistence. 92pts
