Stridently youthful and bursting with fresh flavours – I devoured this on a roasting hot late summer evening – just the time I like a good rosé, as a pre-dinner aperitif. Made from a mixture of classic red grapes, malbec, syrah and merlot, in a slightly provencal style – dry but fruity, it’s the taste of summer in a glass.
A light salmon pink, with watermelon and redcurrant notes on the nose. This wine just sits up and has a lifted palate that’s crisp and spiced, but with a deep plum-like softness and a little herbal. A luscious, dry but more-ish finish. I’m not usually a fan of this style, but I have to say it had a little something for everyone, and I enjoyed it immensely.
