Some flinty, struck-match smokiness overlays lemon, white fig, melon, grapefruit, almond, nougat and tarragon aromas. A surge of saline acidity into the palate. Neatly fitting together, with a toasty oak element making a splash and a wisp of phenolic bitters and fruit tannin. Confident and weighty, with a balance of juice, structure and texture. Moving from good fruit, to tight poise and detail, and into a finish that has a good drying length. 93pts
