From Herzog’s organic vineyard in Marlborough comes this white Rhône blend of Viognier 50%, Marsanne (30%) and Roussanne (20%) – often regarded as a classic New Zealand version of this style. Energy and verve straight from the uncorking – effusive aromas of apricot, vanilla, cardamom, roast almond, lemon, dried pineapple and jasmine. The Marsanne and Roussanne set a tone of crisp acidity and structure that is fleshed out by the spicy fruitiness of the Viognier.
