A single vineyard wine from Dry River Road in Martinborough. Wild-fermented Sauvignon Blanc with a portion barrel-fermented in new oak. Pale gold in the glass, with a fresh perfume of nectarine, grapefruit, blackcurrant, vanilla, almond, baguette, lime zest and red apple. The palate is well balanced with the fine acidity, light toastiness from the oak, and an oyster shell minerality in harmony and well-structured. Quite complex with notes of breadcrumb, nougat and green herbals popping up variously as it settles into a creamy texture deeper in. The finish is dry, and has a citrus tang, showing good length. 89pts
