From the Basket Ranges sub-region of Adelaide Hills – a melange of varietals – Grenache, Gewürztraminer, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Syrah. The white-on-yellow label is almost impossible to read, but what’s inside certainly leaves a mark. The aromatics are kaleidoscopic, with an interplay of cranberry, damson, cinnamon, rose petals, allspice, boysenberry and incense. The palate is more delicate, with a just-pressed immediacy to it. A shiny and piquant acidity gives flow to the mid-palate and look out for a peppery, phenolic note towards the back. The finish is succulent and lush. 92pts
