Terra Sancta Rosé 2019

Terra Sancta Rosé 2019

From the vineyard on Felton Road in Bannockburn, Central Otago comes what is regarded as one of New Zealand’s best rosés – made from some old Pinot Noir vines planted back in the ‘80s. Pale salmon pink in the glass, with an elegant perfume of strawberry, peach, apple, lemon peel, cherry and rose petal florals. The palate is elegant, full of charm – with a smudge of fruit sweetness that is offset by vibrant acidity and a quartzy streak of minerality. Juicy and textural through the middle, with a finish that is dry and bright. A wine I keep a few of in the cellar – at three years of age, this is developing nicely, with a little extra roundness to it – compared to its youth. 91pts
