A Blanc de Noir style of sparkling wine, made in the Méthode Traditionnelle, from the estate vineyards in Marlborough. A pale lemon-gold colour in the glass, with tight, fine bubbles. White peach, apricot, chamomile, lemon, red apple and strawberry on the nose. Medium to light bodied, bone dry and tight, with a lively energy and a very direct line through the palate. A crushed shell minerality fills the mid-palate, adding a stony note to the brisk acidity and citrus flavours that come flooding to the fore. A taut, polished expression of Méthode from Marlborough – you could say, quite european in style. 93pts
