From the Waihopai Valley in Marlborough. Very pale green-straw, with pink/grey edges, in the glass. Lovely aromatic wine, showing a spicy nose that has classic Pinot Gris notes of apple danish, ginger, peach, baking spices and honey. Lively and youthful on the palate, with a zingy acidity balancing that ripe, juiciness. Waves of nectarine, lemon curd, white cherry and grapefruit pith flavours and just a hint of stony minerality. Moving into a well-weighted, full, lush texture. The finish is pure, clean and well-rounded. 90pts
