Taking fruit from a premium coastal site in Te Awanga to produce their Reserve Chardonnay. A pale gold in the glass, with a rich nose filled with peach and tropical fruits. Fig, rockmelon, hay, mandarin, nectarine, lemon and buttered toast. Not shy, this is a voluminous wine that’s filled to the brim with flavours and goes full bore. Full-bodied, with things turned up to 10 – plenty of spice and a good wedge of oak influence enriching the exhuberant palate. A busy rush of acidity keeps things moving, and there’s a soft, lush texture waiting for you to enjoy. The finish is drier, and with decent length. 90pts
