A single vineyard wine, from Marlborough’s Awatere Valley. Clean and bright with candy apple, lime zest, green melon and citrus blossom on the nose. In a medium style – well balanced between the crisp acidity and the lush sweetness. Lychee, satsuma and grilled pineapple flavours sit alongside a toasted breadcrumb note and although it is a fairly straightforward wine, it has enough complexity to warrant spending a bit of time with, as it unfurls layers in time after opening. A plush viscosity sits at the back of the palate, and welcomes in the sweet, lengthy finish. 90pts.
