From the Nelson region, and a small family-run coastal vineyard overlooking the Tasman Sea. Brilliant pale golden yellow in the glass, with a ripe, spiced perfume of white peach, apple, grapefruit, vanilla and citrus blossom. Dry and with a clear, linear acidity that moves briskly through the palate, giving excellent flow and drive. The fruit is pure and flavours head tropical with apricot, melon and a little pineapple as the wine unfolds. An integrated oak influence works nicely with the cardamom and nutmeg spice layer, and the overall effect is harmonious and rounded. The finish is textured, sweet and long. 93pts
