The Collaboration Series continues, with the 2018 version created by young winemaker Ben McNab. With a lightness of colour and a translucent ruby in the glass, with fine, delicate aromas of damson, cherry and raspberry; warm middle eastern spice notes, and a wispy lift of lilac and rose petal. Medium-bodied with a purity of fruit that is distinctive and precise. Nicely balanced and background nuances of new oak, and a nutty spice persists from the nose; but the hero here is the beautifully floral notes to the fruit – like a flowering cherry, not just a cherry fruit, or an elderflower edge over an elderberry. Ethereal and wispy, with a lightness of touch to match the hue. 92pts.
