Bright, pale lemon green, with those classic Marlborough aromatics immediately bursting from the glass. Inviting, intense and strikingly perfumed with mandarin, blackcurrant, grapefruit, jalapeno, lemongrass and passionfruit. Slightly smoky and distinctly mineral, with a stony, crushed shell tang. Lovely tension and acid drive through the palate, with more citrus and herbal flavours. A little textural weight and silkiness towards the end, and a dry, lasting finish. 90pts
