From Martinborough – a delicate pale straw colour in the glass, greening at the edges. Off-dry and light to medium bodied. Citrus notes of grapefruit and satsuma sit nicely alongside apricot, guava and greengage. Lightly herbal and with hints of nettle and almond, this expression is interesting without being challenging. A distinctive variety but with plenty for most white wine fans to enjoy. Moderate acidity, a nibble of fruit tannin and a gentle spicy finish. 89pts
