A new wine in the Single Vineyard range from Villa Maria – a Pinot Noir rosé from the BioGro-certified organic Attorney vineyard in the Southern Valleys sub-region of Marlborough. A rosy pink in the glass, with delicious aromas of blood orange, cherry, watermelon, cranberry, lemon rind, allspice and honeysuckle on the nose. Bright, clear and intense into the palate, with a touch of tannin, apple skin and a flowing acidity. Dry, but ripe and brimming with sweet red fruits, rosehip, a hint of red liquorice, and more toasted spice notes. Satisfying depth and a glossy richness of texture round out a very interesting expression of Pinot Rosé. 93pts.
