From the Earnscleugh Valley between Clyde and Alexandra, in Central Otago. Lively and fragrant aromas of sliced pear, nectarine, green melon and spice with orange zest and ginger. Honeysuckle floral notes brighten the rich, ripe fruits. Generous through the palate, with more tropical and stonefruit, accented by biscuit and baked apricot danish. Layers of interest, and a moderate acidity lead to a creamy texture. Towards the finish there is a honeycomb and sweeter spice accent like nutmeg and vanilla. The finish has a nice drying, slightly tannic, nuance and is decently lengthy. 91pts.
