An elegant expression of Pinot Gris, from Hawke’s Bay. Aromatic but refined on the nose, perfumed with white peach, sliced apple, blonde wood, nashi pear and spring blossom florals. Delicate and finely balanced. Reasonable flow from the medium acidity and steering through a ripe palate heading more tropical with satsuma, lychee and watermelon. Texture is generous and with a mealy lees-influenced minerality and silkiness. Builds well; and from a wispy start, the finish is complex and refreshing. 90pts.
