Elegant, varietal perfume, showing dark berries, cherry, raspberry, and violets. Vivid and concentrated, but firm and tight at first, before broadening out to a lush palate of ripe fruit and spiciness. White pepper, plum, cigar box, bramble, bayleaf and rosehip. Supple, rounded tannins and medium acidity give lovely poise and balance, underlined with warming, lightly toasted oak. A savoury dark olive, tobacco and earthen note. Excellent harmony to the rich, lengthy finish. 93pts.
