Greywacke Wild Sauvignon 2018

Greywacke Wild Sauvignon 2018

Bright lemon green in the glass, with vivid aromas of lemongrass, apricot, pine needle, crushed thyme and jalapeno, with a floral jasmine lift. The palate is concentrated, juicy, with grilled pineapple, preserved lemon, fennel, passionfruit and green apple flavours. Savoury undertow of oyster shell, charred sweetcorn, salinity and green tea, buoyed with a crisp acidity.

The back end is all about the generous texture – opulent and silken. The long finish is refreshingly dry with a grapefruit pith and biscuit crumb. 94pts. Teamed with a platter of hot-smoked salmon, piquant prawns and charcuterie, this converted even our most die-hard non-Sav drinkers to the cause.
