Dark, ripe and plush with intoxicating aromas of cherry, plum, leather and truffle. Dry, graceful and more reserved on the palate, with bramble, liquorice, redcurrant and mocha flavours that fan out gently from a deep, smoky core. More savoury – wet earth, pepper and cinnamon – as the balance between some svelte tannins and a medium acidity carry the wine onwards. Some subtle oak influence shows with a nutty, vanilla undertow towards the long, juicy finish. 92pts.
