From this week, Hawke’s Bay Winegrowers are running a “Cellar Door” in the heart of Hastings located at the Corner of Warren & Heretaunga Streets (in the popular Heretaunga St East 200 block, next door to Hastings Distillers).
Following on from the immensely popular Winter Wine Walk series, thirty Hawke’s Bay wineries will present their wines as part of a regional tasting, along with rotating feature wineries or groups presenting special themed tastings.
A number of the wines on show are not usually available via cellar doors, so this is a great opportunity for the public to try something new and different. Wines will be available to taste or to purchase by the bottle.
The Hawke’s Bay Wine Cellar Door will operate for thirteen weeks from Thursday 13th August to Sunday 8th November. It will be open twenty hours a week – Thursdays 1pm to 5pm, Fridays 1pm to 6pm, Saturdays 11am to 6pm & Sundays 12pm to 4pm.
The concept has been supported by Hastings District Council with a grant from the COVID- 19 relief fund. Complementing Hawke’s Bay Tourism’s ‘Baycation’ promotion, Hastings District Council’s CBD revitalisation programme and the growing vibe in Hastings Eat Street.
