A quick return to a wine that featured in the last of the ‘Tasting Table’ events at WineFolio – the 2024 vintage was well-received around the table, highlighting how far Marlborough Pinot Noir has come – with a bit if vine age and experience in the winery. Onto the 2025 edition…
A bright medium-toned burgundy colour in the glass. A youthfully energy to the bouquet that shows strawberry, red cherry, dark chocolate, cranberry, toasted spices and root beer. Juicy and mouth-filling in the medium-eight palate. A spine of spicy oak and chalky tannin gives structure – spice is a theme to this wine, sitting throughout from scent to finish. Light on its feet and with plenty of acidity, lighting up the plush fruit and heading to a dry finish with good persistence. 91pts
