A Pinot Gris from the Upper Moutere sub-region of Tasman – winner of a Gold Medal at the 2025 New Zealand International Wine Show. It shows a good varietal perfume of pear, quince, ginger, nectarine, vanilla and nutmeg, with just a touch of jasmine floral top notes. Fruit-forward, with good density and concentration – the palate lifted by crisp acidity, giving a fine balance. Richly textured, with a mealy, biscuit crumb flavour and even a touch of butterscotch woven through the ripe fruit. Finishes long, succulent and broad – a hint of Old World style here. 91pts
