A wine from Martinborough – and a label I haven’t had the chance to explore much before. A silvery lemon-green colour in the glass. The nose features classic, quite european, varietal scents of lemon, peach, greengage, red apple, white pepper, vanilla and tarragon. A taut acid tension accents the palate, with a juicy line of fruit that stays the right side of elegance whilst gives a mouth-watering edge. A whisper of oak does season the mid-palate, but overall the vibe is bright, fresh and piquant with minimal oak influence. 90pts
