A wine from the Clutha Ridge Vineyard in Central Otago. Winner of a Gold Medal at the NZIWS in 2025. A very pale silvery green/straw colour in the glass. The bouquet shows excellent varietal typicity, with nashi pear, peach, apple, lemon curd, ginger, lychee, honeycomb and freshly ground baking spices. Plenty of weight in the palate, where a bright acidity balances the glossy fruit flavours. A hint of quartzy minerality and savoury notes of green olive, pepper and nettle adds complexity. Look out for a creamy texture emerging and coating the back palate. The finish brings the elements together, in a fresh and silky persistence. 92pts
