A Pinot Noir from their Gibbston vineyard that was established in 1999, in Central Otago. A Gold Medal winner at NZIWS in 2025. A dense ruby/burgundy colour in the glass. Aromas of cherry, raspberry, black plum, thyme, mocha and buddleia florals. Well-structured, with a frame of toasty oak and a clean, crisp acidity highlighting the plush fruit. A layer of spice appears mid-palate, adding umami and savoury edges. Tannin is fine but firm, which bodes well for cellaring. A real flow through the palate and into a finish that has real presence and length. 94pts
