A wine made by Dave ‘Bro’ Mackintosh and Steve Flamsteed, from the Gladysdale region of the Upper Yarra Valley. A pale but bright green gold in the glass. A nip of reductivity, with gunflint and struck match in the perfume. Nashi pear, lemon curd and melon, with baking spice, tarragon and vanilla alongside. A brisk, briney acidity sets the tone, with a fresh energy piling through the palate. Good weight and body, with plenty of ripe citrus flavours into a dry, well-balanced finish with plenty of length and character. 93pts
