A Central Otago white, from a varietal that has potential to do well in the region. A pale golden colour in the glass, with a green tinge to the rim. Perfectly varietal in its scent – apple, lemon peel, pear and a touch of apricot. A deliciously light floral note also tops off the perfume, something like jasmine or orange blossom. The palate is textural with a little tannin adding character . The ripeness of the fruit shows in a nibble of honeyed sweetness. Baking spice and ginger also sashay into view mid-palate, but the finish is quite dry and has good persistence. 93pts
