Made, unusually, from 100% Pinot Meunier (a varietal more known as a component for sparkling wines) from the Nelson region. A light coppery-pink colour in the glass. An exotic perfume leads with rose and orchid florals, with a fruit salad of raspberry, watermelon, peach and guava underneath. Dry, with crisp acidity and ripe fruit in a generous balance. An intriguing texture, combining a nip of green tea-like tannin and a lush silk mouthfeel, spreads across the palate. Fresh, bright and briney, the finish is long and refreshing. 91pts
