A Marlborough wine, but from well south of the region at the coastal Kekerengu township. A jewel-like translucent garnet red colour in the glass. Raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, souk spices, toffee and a lifted top note of exotic florals. Tannin is fine but has a light rasp across the tense, youthful palate. A crunch of red fruit. The acidity is saline and spiky, with a brisk line and length through the palate. The finish is delicate, composed and has a chalky minerality 93pts
