A Marlborough Chardonnay from The Farm organic vineyard, which is located in the Waihopai Valley. A vibrant golden green colour in the glass. Mouthwatering aromas of grapefruit, apple, lemon peel, tarragon, white peach and brioche leap from the glass, with a touch of smoky struck-match adding complexity. Rich and concentrated, but with a crisp acidity that gets things flowing in the palate. A touch of spicy oak sits next to both fruit tannin and a stony minerality as the drive through the palate unwinds. Well-crafted and structured, with layers of discovery and nuance throughout – this should develop well if cellared correctly. 94pts
