Sporting a new label for the ’23 vintage, the fruit for this Rosé were Tempranillo (51%) and Syrah (49%), sourced from the Gimblett Gravels in Hawke’s Bay. That particular shade of very pale, silvery coral pink that is very much in vogue today. Brightly aromatic, with cranberry, apricot, redcurrant, strawberry, rose petal and jasmine on the nose. A breeze of acidity flows through the front of the palate, contrasting with a nibble of residual sweet fruit plushness. Energy-filled and vivacious, with bags of ripe red flavours and a touch of toasted spice. Finished drier and with a pithy tang. 90pts
