A Hawke’s Bay wine, from this producer that has a wide range and is highly regarded for their aromatics, winning many medals and trophies. A dozen years in bottle, but showing a very pale silvery yellow in the glass. Scented with apricot, lemon, ginger, nougat, satsuma and jasmine. Dry, but with a plush ripeness and texture that is mouth-filling and opulent. Spice notes of vanilla, cardamom and nutmeg give warmth and richness to the palate. The acidity sparkles with a bright energy, giving line and drive towards a finish of good concentration and length. 93pts
