A rosé made from Central Otago Pinot Noir. A bright copper-pink in the glass. The scent is key here, with a complex blending of candy store spicy sweetness and savoury matcha and incense. Blueberry, rosehip and red cherry, then grapefruit, blood orange and lemon zest, before jasmine and caramel top notes come through. Off dry to taste – the sweetness of ripe juice offset by a raspy tannin and a little wet stone minerality through the palate. A swathe of satin texture coats the back of the palate before the finish comes in much drier and with a baking spice element that completes the circle from the perfume. 92pts
