A red wine from Cadiz in Andalucia, Spain – from a producer committed to re-introducing the forgotten varietals and table wines of the Jerez region. A deep burgundy colour in the glass. Cherry, plum, boysenberry, black pepper, spice and white flowers on the nose. A raspy pop of flavour, with ripe flavours that initially take you to the Northern Rhone, but then switch to something like a lighter Nebbiolo! The density of flavour slowly floods the palate, with a bloodiness and salinity working in tandem. A graceful, precise finish with good length. 93pts
