A Central Otago wine (from Wanaka) that I first discovered a few years ago and have reviewed a couple of times (www.winefolio.co.nz/?p=7652 and www.winefolio.co.nz/?p=1720). It has always had a fairly golden glow in the glass – the recent vintage looking just a touch more lime green around the edges. Generously perfumed with nectarine, pear, lemon curd and roasted hazelnut. Richer even again on the palate, where pineapple and melon mix with citrus flavours, and then a toasty vanilla and baking spice joins the party. Good acidity and a succulent texture make a mark towards a crisp and long finish. 93pts
