A translucent lemon-straw colour in the glass. An elegant perfume – calm and measured – revealing aromas of citrus peel, melon, sourdough, crushed shell, pineapple and fig. Oak is apparent but frames the fruit well. A bright acidity keeps the palate fresh and agile, and some delicious fruit tannin gives an element of red apple skin and green herbal notes. Savoury and spicy layers work well through the palate, adding interest. The finish is dry, smoother and quite long. 92pts
