The ‘Marshall Bank’ Chardonnay grapes were grown at the Ohiti Estate vineyards, near the winery. A pale lemon-green in the glass, and showing a powerful perfume, laced with peach, vanilla, fig, chestnut, pineapple and lime curd. Concentrated and bold with a broad, ripe palate. Full-bodied and with a swag of toasty oak, slightly buttery creaminess and enough acidity to keep it all rolling along nicely. Plush and well-balanced, this will please fans of generous, rich styles. Good length to the finish. 93pts
