A family of avid German wine lovers has purchased On Giants’ Shoulders and appointed one of New Zealand’s most respected winemaking teams to take over the reins.
Braden and Gabe Crosby are excited to be handing over to Wilco Lam, formally chief winemaker at Dry River, who will lead the winemaking team as Chief Winemaker. Wilco is joined by Sarah Bartlett as Winery General Manager, James Pittard as Vineyard Manager, Mackenzie Smith as Machinery Operator and Michelle Mills as Vineyard Staff Supervisor.
The new team at On Giants’ Shoulders will continue nurturing the land and crafting fine wines that express Martinborough’s iconic terroir. Together, we–owners past and present–believe this change brings fresh poetic truth to the quote: “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants”.
