A wine from one of the Marlborough pioneers, winning a gold medal at the NZIWS this year. Palest lemon-green in the glass, with a bold, punchy nose full of ripe citrus and stone fruit, cashew nut, baked pear danish, and a flinty mineral edge. Vibrant and full, with toasty oak framing the ripe fruit, and with a balanced acidity that lends a lovely brightness to the palate. Well-structured, classy, and very more-ish. 91pts
