Takapoto Estate Crossing Point Rosé 2021

From the boutique winery on the shores of Lake Karapiro. Using Merlot and Cabernet Franc to craft this rosé with a delicately pale salmon pink colour in the glass. Perfumed with lilac, cranberry, melon, plum, candy apple and rose petals – again, restrained and ethereal. In contrast, the palate is much broader and exhuberant. Red berries, a gentle spice and a note of red liquorice  amongst a brisk acidity and hint of fruit tannin. Dry, but with a feeling of sweetness from the juicy fruits, and showing a pithy minerality towards the fresh, mouth-watering finish. 87pts
