A dark, vibrant blackest-purple colour in the glass, youthful and inky. Varietally true and with a bright complexity to the airy, lifted nose. Perfumed with black plum, white pepper, boysenberry, vanilla, anise, cassis, cranberry and lilac florals. Complex and plush on the palate. Dry, intense and focused, with really pure fruit driven by a keen acidity, and a broad, warm backbone of toasty barrel notes. Sinewy tannin – bold and supple, balancing well with the quite spicy, earthy elements. There’s a delicious note of milk chocolate and creamy truffle adding complexity at the back of the palate.
